Every problem on the record, with the statements its proof needs. Nothing is ranked; hovertap any term for what it means. Needs a steward 20: become one in one short form.
Legend: what the terms mean ▾
- open
- No proof has closed this statement and nothing blocks starting on it. Anyone may work on it now.
- needs a witness
- Left open by a proof skeleton and waiting only for its witness. Supplying one is the work here and anyone may do it; once it merges, the statement is open for proof.
- blocked
- Waits on other statements, or on a definition that has not been checked yet. Not accepting work. A statement waiting only for its witness is not blocked in this sense: it needs a witness.
- proved
- A proof passed all nine checks and was merged. Proved is not the same as explained.
- Explained
- A person who can explain the proof without the tool that produced it has signed the explainer. This is the count the network is judged by.
- Written up
- A paper or note about the proof exists.
- Steward
- The named mathematician who has committed to understand and write up whatever the network produces on a problem. The rule that a problem without one would refuse work is announced and not yet enforced: such a problem still accepts work and says so.
- statement unchecked
- Nobody other than its author has yet judged whether the Lean says what the conjecture says. The kernel cannot decide this; a person must.
- Work on
- A courtesy signal to others that you are working on a statement. It expires on its own and never blocks anyone.
Erdős Problem 1050. The series $\sum_{n=1}^\infty \frac{1}{2^n - 3}$ is irrational. The source sum runs over $n \ge 1$; as a tsum over ℕ (which starts at $0$) it is reindexed $n \mapsto n + 1$, i.e. $\sum_{n=0}^\infty 1/(2^{n+1} - 3)$.
